About my Practice
I work from a Person-Centred Pluralistic perspective. I work this way because I believe if we are given the space to be seen in our wholeness and supported to remember our own power then we can remember this about ourselves. And from this we can begin to flourish.
Person centred therapy provides the conditions within the relationship that will allow and support you to listen to yourself and find your own answers. And from this you can learn to trust your own inner wisdom. This may support you to empower yourself into a deeper and more trusting relationship with yourself. It’s a reminder, that you are the expert of yourself and I am here to support you in discovering/rediscovering your own power, wisdom and truth.
I respect your autonomy to lead the way in exploring your unique individual experience of your reality. Different people have different needs and in your therapeutic space we can explore what’s most important to you.
A poem called the medicine woman's prayer reminds me that we already possess the power and light within ourselves. No one needs to rescue us or make us whole, for we are already whole.
I believe in the transformative power of openness and curiosity towards our inner world and how we tend to it. I feel everyone deserves a safe relationship that supports them while seeking clarity and deeper insights into themselves their experiences.
Working with me
I am passionate about empowerment. You are the expert of yourself and I am here to support you in discovering/rediscovering your own power, wisdom and truth.
I am passionate about normalising a persons experience versus pathologising emotions and feelings. They can feel all consuming, overwhelming or some how wrong (to name a few). But how can we truly heal and navigate our experiences if we cannot hold our inner world, our inner landscape. I believe that we feel the way we feel because of our lived experience and it all has a valid and valuable reason for presenting itself to you. I can support you in joining the dots, making sense of your inner world and creating the conditions that support you in building capacity to hold what feels tricky or challenging for you.
I am passionate about connection to self. Whether we want to admit it or not all we have to do is look around us and we can see the disconnection within our society, perhaps even within some of our own relationships. In a society that promotes chaos, isolation and disconnection the most loving act you can do for yourself is to come back to yourself and build a loving relationship with you. The one person who you spend every moment of every day with. You are expert and the author of yourself, why not make you a safer and more loving place to be.
What can I help with
What can I support you with
If you are experiencing issues with any relationship in your life such as family, friends, romantic, work, your own relationship. I can support you.
It is human to want to belong, be loved and accepted, our relationships can be places that meet these needs. They can also be spaces of uncertainty, turbulence and hurt.
Does any of the following sound familiar?
You feel you are at a crossroads, you feel lost, uncertain about your own wants, needs and desires or you’re struggling to accept them or what they might mean.
You have a dominant ‘inner critic’, you never feel enough and the standards you hold yourself to feel unrelenting.
You feel let down or betrayed by someone you trusted. You feel rejected, alone in your experience or misunderstood.
Your desire to please others means your needs, wants and desires are pushed to the side and you feel unseen and unmet in your relationship(s).
A relationship is breaking down or going through a turbulent time. You may be noticing patterns repeating or maybe it’s been this way for a long time.
Working together, I can support you to:
Foster and nurture a healthier and more fulfilling relationship with yourself, others and the world around you.
Re-connect with your authentic self, improving your self esteem and your self worth so you can learn to accept and honour your own needs.
Understand, heal and recover from challenging relationships and experiences supporting you to feel more at ease.
Improve your mental health and emotional wellbeing giving you relief from your distress and anxiety.
Deepen your self-understanding, self-acceptance and self-expression through talking therapy or creative methods.
Learn to build your emotional capacity through grounding, guided practices, somatic enquiry, nervous system regulation. You can expand your resilience to manage everyday pressures and strains while connecting with your physical experience and creating safety within.
Working creatively in therapy not only has an extensive evidence base and is backed by neuroscience but it can support you to explore and express your experience in a variety of ways. This way of working can bring the unconscious into the conscious.
Imagine a life where you feel more grounded within who you are, where you can accept yourself, where your needs are met. A world in which you feel more confident, connected and supported. Where your self esteem and worth are lifted
The most radical and loving thing we can do in an uncertain and chaotic world is create a deep meaningful relationship with ourselves.
